would like to see the club go during this next year, what kind of
programs you would like to see, etc. General fish talk also. Membership dues are due, so you can pay at the meeting, if you haven't already done so. |

Speaker:Carie Nixon, goldfish officianado and
long-time CAFE member. She will speak about the infinite variety in
goldfish. This is the first viewing of her new program created for the
Federation of American Aquarium Societies (FAAS) and includes wonderful
images from many sources, including the FAAS archives, the Goldfish Society
of America, Jerry Montgomery, Phil Nixon (CAFE president), and herself. Membership dues are due, so you can pay at the meeting, if you haven't already done so. |

Speaker:Rachel
Whitcomb. Rachel is the assistant manager of Sailfin Pets, Inc. She has
been in that capacity for a year and worked at the store for three
years. She is currently maintaining a salt water tank. Rachel will be
bringing the new Marineland Canister Filter to talk about. She will
also bring some of the newest products for aquariums to show us and
will be happy to answer questions about them after her presentation. Membership dues are due, so you can pay at the meeting, if you haven't already done so. |

| May 5, 2007 |
This
months meeting is at Prairie Gardens. We are supposed to meet at the
Info Desk at 3pm and ask for Jim Wuersch to come meet us. Jim has
several ponds of his own and has worked locally as an aquatics grower
at the nursery level for several years. Jim will be giving us a tour of
the aquatics greenhouse and lead a discussion on the newest aquatic
plants that they have in stock. Jim will discuss the various plants
that they have available and answer any pond plant questions anyone
might have. He will also give us a tour of the shrub lot if anyone is
interested in that. This should be a fun day and educational as well. |

Speaker:Dr
Mark Mitchell will be speaking on the "Treatment considerations for
ornamental fish". This should be one of our best programs this year so
try not to miss out. |

Our
program this month will be a video on Breeding livebearers. This should
be a pretty good video and as always afterwards we will have some open
discussion after the presentation so we can share our successes /
failures
on this topic. Come join us and have fun talking fish. |

We
will NOT be having a regular monthly meeting in September. Instead we
will be having a gathering at Art and Carol Pesch's home on September
9th for the annual club picnic. |

Our
speaker for Oct will be Joe Fleckenstein from the Circle City Aquarium
Club in Indianapolis. He will be giving a talk on Cory Catfish. |

November 3, 2007 |
Tim Norsen will be our speaker for the November meeting. Tim works for United Pet Group which includes Tetra, Marineland, Perfecto, Aquarium Systems, and Jungle. He will be giving a presentation on the newest line of Foods and water conditioners. There have been several new products in the last year and this should be very interesting and informative for us all. |

| December 1st, 2007 |
We will NOT be having a regular monthly meeting in December. Instead we
will be having a gathering at Art and Carol Pesch's home on December
1st for the Annual Dinner/potluck/Discussion session.
Festivities start around 6pm. |

Doors open between 6:30- 6:45pm with the meeting to begin at 7pm. The building is locked but you can gain access through the door on the North side of the building. Some one will be there to let you in but you need to arrive before7pm. If you have questions or need directions Phil & Carie Nixon can be reached by phone at 217-867-2290.
